BioKiosk is a biometric data collection solution.

Data is collected and stored in accordance with the recommendations of ICAO document 9303.

The solution consists of a set of equipment and the BioData application. The data collected are:

• Photography
• Fingerprints
• Signature

 

The photograph is captured by an HD or 4K Webcam. BioData recognizes the photograph in the image produced by the Webcam, and crops the photograph and resizes it according to ICAO recommendations. The background is removed automatically. Before recording the photograph, an analysis of possible non-conformities with the recommendations is carried out, such as:

• Head tilted
• Open mouth
• Face with expression
• Eyes closed or with glasses
• Etc.

Fingerprints are collected by a 2-finger or 2 single finger fingerprint scanner.
The capture is done at 500DPI and in flat mode.
Optionally, rolled finger capture can be performed using the 2-finger scanner or a 4-finger scanner (4 + 4 + 2).
Fingerprints can be saved in the following formats:

• BMP format;
• JPEG;
• JPEG2000;
• WSQ(recommended).

The signature is captured on a backlit LCD-type signature pad.
Signature is made with an electronic pen.
The signature image can be replaced with a standard image with:

•  “CAN’T SIGN”
•  “DON’T KNOW HOW TO SIGN”

The signature image is saved grayscale in JPEG; PNG or BMP.

The captured data can be integrated with applications via SOAP or REST web services.

Images can also be exported to a NIST file or individual files.

A model is also available in which the signature table and fingerprint scanner are in a single element.

The number of visible cables is smaller than in the base solution, and the electronic components are protected from careless use .
